What The Reviewers Are Saying

Winewise Championship ( Lester Jesberg) Gold

“The spicy red berry aromas carry a pronounced viognier perfume and an appealing oak contribution. A delightful medium-bodied Canberra District shiraz with fine, persistent tannins.”

Ozwinereview (Andrew Graham) Silver

“I very much admire what Carla and Malcolm are doing with the ever-interesting range of Sapling Yard wines, and this wonderfully lithe Canberra Shiraz Viognier (aka Shirognier) is another lovely release. Notably tart despite the purple berry plushness, there are big contrasts here, with boysenberry fruit, a little dandelion and dried herbs, then this crisp, spicy finish. Only just medium bodied, but not lacking, this is such a nice wine. Extremely well priced too.”
