This Lake George Riesling is solely from the White Rocks Block and is a true expression of a classic cool climate Riesling. The vineyard sits on the shores of the ancient Lake George with a mixture of sand and pebbles that have been washed over the ages. Behind the vineyard lies the Cullerin Range washing granite down its slopes over millions of years. This unique soil profile allows the deep rooted vines to grow without irrigation
Our Lake George Riesling is bone dry with lifted notes of lime peel, citrus and orange blossom. Zesty acidity makes this wine a perfect match with fresh oysters or Asan inspired seafood.

Vinification: The grapes were crushed and destemmed and gently pressed (no hard pressings) to tank. The ferment was long and cool with a specially selected yeast originally from Germany. This wine was bottled in July.

“There’s a sense of brilliance to this wine too. It’s laser-sharp, with a white pepper zing, crunchy celery and grapefruit, pristine green fruit flavours, and so crisp. Snap fresh and long in a proper cool climate mode. Importantly, this bone-dry Riesling never feels hard, with perfectly natural acidity making this feel carefully defined, with bitterness, but not to the point of hardness.
I love this Riesling mode. There is a fair argument that it is too linear and too crystalline, but the pristine angles and compact intensity are pretty great.”
“It opens with an initial citrussy floral nose, a prominent grapefruit palate lift and a soupcon of tamarind twirling in the background.
It’s currently a refreshing, evolving young cool-climate Riesling reminiscent of some of the Austrian Germanic styles.
It delivers a multi-layered grippy, sweet ‘n’ tart fruit-driven punch of vibrancy.”
“A gentle expression of riesling with its floral and spice aromas, while the palate is all citrusy with a thirst-quenching lemon-barley water flavour. The back label says this is bone-dry yet there’s texture throughout, as if there’s a slip of sweetness rounding out the palate. Either way, a lovely drink.”
